About the Book
The second edition of the book Tehqeeq, Tasawwurat aur Tajrubat (Research: Concepts and Experiences), containing several additions, is a recent IPS publication. It has valuable insights shared by senior scholars, namely Prof. Khurshid Ahmad, former senator and patron-in-chief of IPS; Dr. Umer Chapra, senior research advisor to the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah; Dr. Anis Ahmad, vice-chancellor Riphah International University; and Dr. Safeer Akhtar, a senior research fellow at IPS and Editor of Nuqta-e-Nazar.

For young researchers, the Institute of Policy Studies frequently holds interactive sessions where they get the opportunity to meet and learn from senior researchers. Familiarizing new and inexperienced researchers in Pakistan with paradigms and methods other than those extracted from western knowledge is of utmost importance in view of promoting indigenous research. This can be achieved through interactions between researchers and seasoned scholars who have seen and explored various dimensions of applied and theoretical research through a domestic lens.
